DON'T LOSE MOMENTUM

With the daylight hours getting shorter and the temperature starting to drop it can be too easy to pull the comforter back up and stay in bed in the morning.

Don't let excuses get in the way of reaching your goal to be a healthy person. I find that once I stop exercising during the colder months it can be hard to get that momentum back.





Here are some tips to add exercise into your day:

1)    Take stairs instead of lifts
2)    Join a fitness class
3)    Take up tennis, squash or golf - a great way to meet new people
4)    Start a garden or fix yours up - you can't eat with dirty hands
5)    Look for a heated pool in your area - swimming gives the entire body a workout or try aqua aerobics
6)    Park further away when shopping or walk to the shops
7)    Get off a couple of bus stops earlier than you need to
8)    Hire exercise equipment or exercise videos to use in the privacy of your home
9)    Buy a skipping rope, start with 1 minute and build up
10)  Go out for a night of dancing
11)  Rollerblade with the kids
12)  And finally you can't beat walking it's fantastic for general health and well-being.
